Loton Shippey M.D.

Dr. Shippey is originally from the greater San Francisco Bay Area. After serving in the U.S. Army, he went on to undergraduate school at San Francisco State University earning a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, where he met his wife, and during which time he also helped found a free clinic for underserved populations in San Francisco. Next he went to medical school at Oregon Health & Science University before completing a medical residency in Internal Medicine at Highland Hospital in Oakland with an additional focus in point-of-care ultrasound. He plays several musical instruments semi-professionally, and in his free time enjoys spending time with his wife and 6 year old daughter, hiking, and cooking for friends and family.
