Dr. Garland Castañeda was born in Modesto, California. He graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Molecular Biology and minors in Neuroscience and Environmental Studies. He earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado – Denver with a certificate from the Global Health Program. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Highland Hospital in Oakland. He has been working with AIM since 2018 and currently lives in Oakland with his wife and two dogs.
