Catherine Pyun was born in Oneonta NY. She attended medical school at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She did her residency in Internal Medicine at Alameda Health System’s Highland Hospital where she also served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Pyun has over 20 years experience in internal medicine, hospital medicine and post-acute long term care. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine. She serves as the current Chief of Staff at Alameda Hospital. She has volunteered on medical missions in Peru and Ecuador providing care in remote jungle regions. When not working she enjoys spending time with her partner and newborn baby girl. She also loves traveling, hiking, camping and backpacking.
